Casinos Austria International was a finalist in the bid to develop and operate the integrated resort in Nagasaki, Japan, partnering with the Sasebo-based Kyushu Resorts Japan group. Casinos Austria AG, founded in 1967 and headquartered in Vienna, operates approximately 40 land-based casinos across multiple countries. The Nagasaki proposal was sited at the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sasebo. The Japanese government ultimately did not certify the Nagasaki bid, and the project did not proceed.
