About
Ballys Belle of Orleans was a 30,000-square-foot riverboat casino on Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, Louisiana. The boat opened in July 1995 as Ballys New Orleans Casino and was later renamed Ballys Belle of New Orleans, offering more than 1,000 slot machines and around 30 table games such as blackjack, mini baccarat, craps and roulette. After Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005 the riverboat ceased operations and never reopened. Following an ownership change the property was rebranded Amelia Belle Casino at a different Louisiana location.
