South Beach Casino and Resort operates on the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation reserve near Grand Beach, Manitoba, about 30 minutes north of Winnipeg on Highway 59. Opened May 28, 2005, the 40,000-square-foot, entirely smoke-free facility features over 500 slot machines with a tropical art-deco theme. The resort includes 93 hotel rooms ranging from deluxe rooms to Grand Suites, plus Mangos and Blue Dolphin restaurants. It is owned by a partnership of seven Manitoba First Nations.
