About
Costa Allegra was a Costa Cruises passenger vessel converted from a 1969 container ship and entering cruise service in 1992 after rebuilding at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa. The ship operated under the Costa brand on European and Asian itineraries and included a small onboard casino with slot machines and table games. After a generator-room fire near the Seychelles in February 2012 left the vessel adrift, Costa retired the ship and it was sold for scrapping at Aliaga, Turkey. The casino is no longer in operation.
