About

Costa Europa was a Costa Cruises vessel originally built in 1986 as Homeric for Home Lines, later operated as the Holland America ship Westerdam, and transferred to Costa in 2002 after a refit. The ship offered an onboard casino with slot machines and table games while sailing Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Middle East and Indian Ocean itineraries for Costa. In April 2010 it was chartered to Thomson Cruises and renamed Thomson Dream, later Marella Dream. The vessel was retired in 2020 and broken up in 2022; the Costa-branded casino is no longer in operation.
