About
Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) was a Cunard Line ocean liner built by John Brown & Company on the River Clyde in Scotland and operating from 1969 to 2008. The ship served as Cunards flagship until 2004 and featured an onboard casino with slot machines and table games during her transatlantic and worldwide voyages, sailing 5.8 million miles and carrying 2.5 million passengers. QE2 retired from active service on November 27, 2008 and was acquired by the Dubai World private equity arm. Since April 2018 she has operated as a 447-room floating hotel in Dubai and the Cunard-branded casino is no longer in operation.
