Fort Erie Race Track is a Thoroughbred racing and gaming facility in Fort Erie, Ontario that opened on 16 June 1897. The track is the yearly host of the Prince of Wales Stakes, the second jewel of Canadas Triple Crown, along with the Canada Day Stakes, Bison City Stakes, Rainbow Connection Stakes and International Turf Cup Stakes. The 75,000 square foot carousel-themed gaming area features 1,200 slot machines and is operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation seven days a week. The venue is located at 230 Catherine Street.
