About
Garden City Casino was a long-running San Jose, California cardroom that traced its roots to the 1946 Garden City Billiards Parlor and operated from a chateau-style building at 360 South Saratoga Avenue from 1976 onward. The cardroom offered California-style table games including blackjack, baccarat, pai gow, and poker until it closed at 2 a.m. on a 2012 transition night and reopened the next day as Casino M8trix. Ownership today consists of Garden City, Inc. (Lunardi Trust, Erickson Family Trust, the Tierneys, and Bruce Lance). Card-room operations are licensed by the California Bureau of Gambling Control under California Gambling Control Commission oversight.
