About
Hippodrome d'Aylmer, historically known as Connaught Park Racetrack, was a thoroughbred and harness racing facility in the Aylmer district of Gatineau, Quebec, which operated from 1913 to 2009. The track introduced the daily double betting format in 1931 and transitioned from thoroughbred to standardbred harness racing after 1954. Live racing ended in 2008 following operator Attractions Hippiques' bankruptcy, and the betting parlour closed in October 2009. The site has since been redeveloped into the Quartier Connaught residential subdivision.
