About
Hippodrome de Montreal, originally known as Blue Bonnets Raceway, was a historic harness racing track and gambling venue in Montreal, Quebec, that operated from 1872 to 2009. Owned and operated by the provincial agency SONACC, the facility offered harness racing, inter-track wagering, off-track betting, restaurants, and hundreds of video lottery terminals and slot machines. The venue closed permanently on October 13, 2009, after operator Attractions Hippiques declared bankruptcy. Demolition of the crumbling site began in 2018 after nearly a decade of dereliction.
