About
Marquis Downs was a horse racing track in the Exhibition subdivision of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, that opened in 1969 with thoroughbred racing. The main track was a five-furlong oval with a seven-furlong chute and a 3,500-seat grandstand. Live thoroughbred racing ran every Friday and Saturday from late May to early September, featuring stakes races such as the Saskatchewan Derby, Prairie Lily Sales Stake, and Heritage Day. Racing ended in 2021 when Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation ceased operations, and demolition plans were announced in 2025.
