Wrest Point Hotel Casino is Australia's first legal casino, opening in Sandy Bay, Hobart on 10 February 1973. Operated by Federal Group, the venue offers nearly 500 electronic gaming machines, six gaming tables with blackjack, roulette, baccarat and pontoon, plus sports betting and TASkeno. The 17-storey hotel tower is the tallest building in Tasmania. Between 2018 and 2023, Federal Group undertook a $65 million staged redevelopment to coincide with the property's 50th anniversary.
