It is operated by Minor Hotels under the Avani brand, with the casino running under a gaming licence granted by the Mozambican Ministry of Economy and Finance. The casino sits within a 168-room luxury resort featuring Arabian-influenced architecture and offers slots and table gaming alongside the Quirimbas Restaurant, Niassa Bar and a salt-water rim-flow pool overlooking Wimbe Beach. The casino is the only such venue in northern Mozambique near the Tanzanian border.
