About
The Fennia Building is a historic Vienna Baroque office and entertainment building at Mikonkatu 19 next to Helsinki Central Railway Station, Helsinki, Finland, designed by architects Grahn, Hedman & Wasastjerna and opened in 1898. It originally housed the Grand Hotel Fennia, which was inaugurated in January 1909 by Swedish businessman Karl Edvard Jonsson. Casino Helsinki has been housed in the Fennia Building since 1991 and the property is fully integrated into the casino since 2004. The casino is operated by Veikkaus Oy under Finland's state gaming monopoly.
