Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee is a land-based hotel and casino on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France, originally opened in 1929 by American financier Frank Jay Gould as one of the great Riviera Belle Epoque resorts. The original property closed in 1978 and was reconstructed by the Societe Hoteliere du Palais de la Mediterranee, reopening in 2004 with hotel operations entrusted to Hyatt. The on-site casino is operated by Groupe Partouche under licence from the Autorite Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), France's national gambling regulator.
