Prediction Market Polymarket Adds Minute-Long Crypto Contracts

Polymarket US, the domestic arm of the prediction market platform, has introduced five-minute event contracts covering four major cryptocurrencies. The new derivatives allow traders to speculate on price movements over extremely short time frames.

According to the announcement, the contracts are available for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH), the two largest digital currencies by market capitalization, as well as Solana (SOL) and XRP, which currently rank fifth and seventh respectively.

The move marks a significant expansion of Polymarket’s offerings into ultra-short-duration trading. Unlike traditional prediction markets that settle over days or weeks, these five-minute contracts enable near-instant resolution, appealing to traders seeking rapid exposure to crypto price action.

Polymarket US launched earlier this year as a regulated entity serving domestic users. The addition of minute-long crypto derivatives aligns with growing demand for short-term speculative instruments within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

The contracts are now live on the platform, with no immediate word on whether additional assets or longer-duration versions will be added in the future.
