The Mob Museum in Las Vegas has acquired 22 personal effects that were removed from the pockets of notorious mobster Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel after he was shot and killed on June 20, 1947. The items will be placed on public view beginning Friday, November 13, 2026.

According to the museum, the Beverly Hills Police Department collected approximately 30 objects from Siegel’s clothing at the crime scene. The recently obtained items represent the majority of that original evidence and have never before been exhibited to the public.

Siegel, a key figure in the development of Las Vegas and the Flamingo Hotel, was gunned down at the Beverly Hills home of his girlfriend, Virginia Hill. His murder remains one of the most infamous unsolved killings in organized crime history.

The display will offer visitors a rare glimpse into the physical remnants of that night, including items that might help contextualize the final moments of a man whose life helped shape the modern gambling industry. The museum has not released a detailed list of the 22 objects but noted the collection includes both routine personal belongings and crime-scene documentation.

The acquisition adds to the Mob Museum’s extensive holdings related to 20th-century organized crime and law enforcement. The November 2026 exhibit date marks the first time these specific evidence artifacts will be accessible to the general public.
